I'm Peter.
I studied economics, philosophy, and math at Carleton College in Minnesota. My senior thesis examined the effects of global monetary policy on foreign direct investment. Disheartened by the results, I grew interested in market solutions to social problems.
At Abba, I improve privacy and data security. Abba is the world's first factor database and it makes important advances in database security. All else equal, Abba can achieve over an order of magnitude reduction in the chance of a backdoor data breach.
I use this blog as a work journal, and as a way to connect with other researchers. Reach me at peter@petermjoy.com anytime to tell me that I'm in over my head. I appreciate all feedback.
Apart from work, I spend my time playing badminton, reading history, and teaching math.
